Chapter 9, Page 7, Book 21

Be on the hunt for the you - you’ve yet to become.

September 7th - we are always changing and growing

To improve is to change, to be perfect is to change often.

Winston Churchill

The only thing impossible in life is staying the same way forever.  Change is inevitable.

I am not the person I was 20 years ago.  Nor will I be same 20 years from now.  Time flies by and we age.  Our bodies change  and we change our way of thinking.  It’s important to not fight the change because it will happen one way or the other.  We cannot stop it so it’s better to go with the flow.  Some call it Aging Gracefully.

I like who I am and what I do, but it’s important to know that won’t last, I’lll change again before I even realize it. Sometimes I look in the mirror and don’t recognize the face I see.  This old gray mare ain’t what she used to be.  Ha!

Who I am is on the inside and there I feel like not a whole lot has changed.  We are always beautiful on the inside.  No one can change us with out our permission.  We are the only ones that can choose who we are and what we want to do.

They say we should be the change we want to see.  I want to see someone that is only getting better and better. I want to be a better person than I was yesterday.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference

Reinhold  Niebuhr

So true! Just recently I was thinking how many 'seasons' of my life I've enjoyed. I'm certainly not the person I was at 25 ... at 50. Like the little quote I keep on my sidebar: "What would the child I was think of the woman I am?"
