The secret of happiness to count your blessings while other are adding up their troubles.
September 12th -Thankful Sunday
To multiply your joy, count your blessings

This week I’ve been thankful for all the memories that have come my way. I would have been celebrating 56 years of marriage this year, My oldest son also got married on the same day, what a tribute that was to us. It would have been my Dad’s birthday today and one of my nieces also got married on this day, a nice tribute to him too.
We celebrated the 20th anniversary of 9/11/2001 and that brought many memories, I’m so thankful that none of my family were affected by the tragedy. My oldest son would have been flying out that day on a business trip but his flight was cancelled.
My family once again came through another week safe and healthy. I’m so thankful we’ve all been spared. I can only hope it continues that way.
I got out to my monthly hair cut and no longer have to stay home and avoid the normal things in life, but I did wear my face mask this time when I went. Thankfully we haven’t been shut down even with all the virus going around.
Our weather has really cooled down and I’m thankful for that. For the first time in months, this week I work long pants to keep warmer. I’m thankful for plenty of clothing and the ability layer up when needed.
I’m thankful that my church is resuming face mask wearing and is still streaming their services on one. I may start to stay home and take advantage of that to stay healthy. We’ll see how it goes. At least we have the option.
I got the results of my lab work back from my doctor too. All is well and even though my Vitamin D was low and my thyroid count high, there are pills to take care of that. Nothing wrong with the sonogram of my kidneys anyway. All is well in that respect and there is no further need for me to do anything differently that I’ve been doing. I’m thankful for bottled water to drink. I do think I’ve been drinking plenty of water since started drinking it.
I hope you too can count your blessing this week and not your problems. It does make such a difference in our lives. The more I count my blessings, there more I seem to have to count.
Let no day go by without counting your blessings.
