Chapter 8, Page 23, Book 21

Every day is a new beginning.  Treat it that way.  Stay away from what might have been and look at what can be.

August 23rd - It’s Monday again

Morning will come, it has no choice.

I don’t know how it happens but the end of summer always brings some of the hotest weather.  Just about the time the kids are going back to school, summer gives us a last blast of heat making us think that summer could go on forever.

One thing it does for me is makes me wish fall would get here.  I’ve been a bit down at the thought of summer ending, but with the kind of heat we’re to have this week, I really think I’ve had enough of summer.  I’m ready for it to end.

I’m thankful I’ve got an air conditioner that keeps my house bearable.  I’m really comfortable as long as I stay inside.  But then I’m comfortable as long as I stay inside all winter too.  I  have whole house heat and air conditioning, but there is only so much staying inside that I can do.  I get cabin fever and long to get outside and breathe some fresh air.

I dont know how the weather is treating you, but for me Im ready for summer to end.  Truly there is a time and season for everything under the sun.

I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning.

You sent me back to my childhood and A/C. I never attended a school with A/C. And yep it did seem like the hottest weather was that first few days back at school. Every class had a big oscillating fan and the windows were open. Enjoyed the read.

My growing-up years we had neither central air or heat ... and I don't recall missing it! I do remember the first automobile a/c. I think it was 1960, and my friend's mother had this ginormous station wagon with a big box that sat between the two front seats. I was awe-struck!
Yes, I'm really looking foward to Fall weather. Imagine the possibilities!
