August 22nd - thankful Sunday
When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.
It’s once again that time of week when I take time to count my blessings for the week and give thanks for all of them. It seems the more I count them, the more I have to count.
This week brought us some rain but thankfully most of it went to the south and east of us. We had some unexpected dry and sunny days to enjoy.
I’m thankful for my daughter who calls me every night without fail. She’s even stated to call me earlier theses days as it’s getting dark earlier, I go to bed earlier.
I’m thankful for the wonderful summer days we all had to enjoy. All my family has kept happy and safe and I’m praying that now that it’s back to school, everyone remains safe.
I’m thankful that the grandchildren and those in my family that are teachers can go back to school for real this fall. They won’t have to do any online classes. That was a lot of work for everyone.
I’m thankful for all the schools and teachers out there following the guidelines set up to keep them all safe and happy. Those that were able to got vaccinated and those that can’t get the shot will continue to wear masks and wish their hands often.
I’m thankful for all of you who take the time to read this and hope you too can count your blessings and not your problems.
There is no happier person than a truly thankful, content person.
