Chapter 8, Page 10, Book 21

For fast acting relief, try slowing down

Lily Tomlin

August 10th - I’m relieved

Finding relief in your problem is fine, but it will not cure the problem.

Henry R. Brandt

I am very relieved today but still don’t know all the answers to my kidney problems.  I saw the doctor yesterday and he is wanting a sonogram and another blood test before discussing exactly what is wrong with me.  I do thank you all for your concern and thoughts and prayers for me.  He did releive some of my anxiety but letting me know that what I have is moderate kidney disease.  It’s not something that I will die from, lose a kidney from or have to have dialysis for.  Treatment is going to depend on what he sees when the next set of tests are done.

So for now we’re looking at the end of August before I know a whole lot more.  Meanwhile, I’m continue with what I’m doing and drink plenty of water.  It’s suggested I get 50 ounces a day.

So I’m going to go with the flow and wait to see what happens next.  It’s all a matter of waiting now.

The greatest weapon against stress is  our ability to choose one thought over another.

Whew! Thank you for letting us know your doctor isn't rushing to a premature judgement! I think it's easy for people to say, "Don't worry" ... until they're in your shoes. 🥴

I need to step up my water intake, too. Grateful for no lack of that inventory right now!

I'm so sympathetic. I've been managing a liver disorder for almost 40 years. I've been through a number of specialists and last summer finally found one that I adore. Of course, he is leaving the practice (and not staying in NY). Will be seeing my new liver specialist in two weeks. Prayers that you will be managing this for many years to come.
P.S. I've stumped three major medical centers for a diagnosis.

So glad to read what the Doctor said. YES relief is when the Dr. says it isn't as bad as we thought, it is not life threating. YES relief is SWEET.
Thinking of you and holding you up in prayer,
Sherry & jack....... Smiling here.
