Chapter 7, Page 12, Book 21

Adventure is worthwhile.

Aesop

July 12th -It’s Monday again and it’s ok !

The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.

Oprah Winfrey

I like to think of each new day as adventure.  There is always something new to learn, a new place to go, or something new to do.

Each day is a new beginning, another day to get it right and clean slate with an open book to write on.   There will be new thoughts and new ideas that come my way.  Who knows but they may the beginning of something new for me to enjoy.

I think I’ve led a pretty adventurous life.  I may not have gone many places, but I’ve done a lot.  Just raising my large family taught me a lot of things that others might never experience.

I have to say I’m not as adventuresome as I once was, but still I continue to welcome each new day and egarly await  all the surprises that may come my way.  Yesterday I was very surprised when I slipped and fell in the shower.  It was an adventure for me to turn over and get on my painful knees so I could lift myself up and get out.  Not all surprises are good ones, but they always teach me a lesson.

Hopefully today’s won’t be quite as painful as yesterday was..

Life is either a great adventure or nothing.

Oh lady you said: Just raising my large family taught me a lot of things that others might never experience. ......
Sherry mentions your life often and the TASK facing you at the loss of your mate. She says it with admiration and I agree.
A visit here is always educational.
Sherry & jack (she will be by later and smile)

Oh my goodness! Please take good care. Not giving advice, but you may want to think about a shower seat. Not expensive and cuts down on falls. Take care!

Yikes on that fall! Can you ask one of the park's handymen to install a grab bar?

Last week one of Tom's dear friend's friend in Phoenix slipped in the shower and fell, hitting her head on the toilet. When she didn't come out of the bathroom, her 9 y/o went in and discovered her unconscious. The way in which she was wedged, first responders had to take out the toilet. 5 days later she's still in a coma, but has begun to respond to stimuli.
I don't mean to hijack your blog or scare you -- but ever since I heard about this lady I think of that whenever I step into the shower. I suspect there's a grab bar coming soon to our place.
