When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.
July 11th -thankful Sunday
There is no happier person that a truly thankful, content person.
This week I’ve been on vacation at my daughters house taking care of her dogs while they are on vacation. For a whole week I get my dog fix on and love being with them. They are such good companions and I miss having a dog of my own.
While some might not think this much of a vacation, my daughter has a beautiful home and a pool to enjoy. It’s a change of scenery for me and I enjoy being there.
I had my regular check up at the doctor and good news he’s still happy with the progress I’ve made. My blood pressure is holding at a decent rate but sad to say I gained back all the weight I had lost. At least I’m not 10 pounds over what I started out at. I haven’t heard anything about the blood tests so may be that means no news is good news.
I have to say that I’ll be happy if I can get those 10 pounds off again. I feel better with less weight on. If only I could stay away from sweets. They are my downfall.
All of my family remains happy and healthy and are getting out and about more as more and more opens up. Hopefully, that also means I’ll get to see more of them too. We had to put off family get togethers last year, but now we are free to do so again. I’m so thankful for the vaccine making all this possible again. We’re not normal yet but the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter.
Thanks to all of you who read this. I hope you all have had a great week too and are staying healthy and happy too.
Some days are better than others, but every day can be the best day of your life by giving thanks.
