Honesty: what a refreshing slap in the face it is.
Timothy M. Brenner
Lying always comes with a price whilst the truth is invaluable. The truth will always come out, it will be worse that you lied than telling the truth. Lies usually lead to more and more lies to cover up the initial lies, creating a vicious cycle.
Honesty is more difficult, otherwise we wouldn’t be tempted to lie. By being honest you learn to tackle difficult or uncomfortable situations and grow as a person.
We need to put ourselves in the other person’s position, Would you prefer to be lied to or to know the truth? It doesn’t mean you’re rude or blunt. You need to be diplomatic and kind in order to avoid hurting others feelings
See truth as a opportunity to develop, being open and honest are valuable skills for our personal and professional life. The power of honest goes beyond the ability to get or job or have your sins forgiven. Honesty is a way of life that provides you with the best possible policy . We can always be ourselves and not have to remember what lies were told.
When we tell the truth, we feel better obout ourselves. Others will be able two trust you and trust is the basis for all relationships. Authenticity is the spice of life. Without it there cannot be honest relationships between people.
The authentic person will take honesty and combine ti with sensitivity. Mindfulness cannot occurs if honesty is not present. and if mindfulness is not present then stress quickly takes over.
Honest people believe that its better to do to others as we would have them do to us. If we’re honest with others we give them permission to do the same with us.
We might not get rich but we will be content and can go to bed each night with a clean conscious. There’s no better feeling in the world.
Honesty has a beautiful and refreshing simplicity about it. No interior motives. No hidden meanings. An absence of hypocrisy, duplicity, political games and verbal superficiality. As honesty and real integrity charerize our lives, there will be no need to manipulate others.
