Follow your dreams, they know the way.

Kobi Yamada

June 30th - follow your dreams

Consult not your fears, but your hopes and dreams.

Pope John XXIII

Dreaming is really important.  It lights the passion in your belly and the hope in your soul.  It fosters creativity and problem solving and it always looks to find solutions.

Dreaming helps keep you steering in the right direction as to how you want to live your life.

Never Underestimate the power of your dreams and even if you don’t have it all figured out, take a ,moment and enjoy the ride

Our dreams are what can get us through even the worst days. If you are struggling, your dreams are the reason to keep on going

Everyone has their own dreams and goals.  They give us  a sense of meaning and purpose and drive us on to our chosen future.  Your dream is the meaning of you life.

Dreams make life worth while.  They make our entire life worth living. we are nothing without our dreams.  Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.  You have to believe in your dreams and take action to make them come true.

So believe in yourself and follow your dreams and you will live the life you love.

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan but also believe.

Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire ?

Corrie Ten Boom

June 29th - don’t let prayer be your spare tire for emergencies only

P.U.S.H. - Pray until something happens

Using prayer only when all else fails, is a mistake.  Let prayer be your steering wheel.  Prayer should be the guiding factor in our lives.   Prayer is the opening of ourselves to receive God’s help and direction.  It’s not my ability but my response to God’s ability that counts.

Prayer changes things.  Prayer changes us.  Prayer is powerful. Prayer is our starting line. When we tap into God’s resources by faith and pray. miracles happen.

We are supposed to pray always and continuously.  Some days it seems my whole day is a prayer.

I’m a believer and believe that prayer can heal, it can give, and it can change lives. The power of pray should not be underestimated. God’s promises are true and he answers every prayer.  They may not be the way we’d want them to be but are the way He wants them to be. I don’t know much, but I do know nothing is impossible with God.

It’s not enough just to say the words, but they must come from the heart.  It opens the door to freedom from worry and fear in our lives.

Never forget the three most powerful resources you always have available to you:  Love, prayer and forgiveness.

Chapter 6, Page 28, Book 21

You are stronger than you think

Author Unknown

June 28th - believe in yourself.

You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem seem, and smarter than you think.

Winnie the Pooh, A.A. Milne

Mental strength isn’t something you’re born with, it’s something you can develop. You’re strong than you think when you realize that,  your power is limitless.

When life knocks you down, it’s easy eo doubt whether you can handle it, But remember, you are stronger than you think. You’re more capable than you believe.

Strength doesn’t mean you’re not afraid, it doesn’t mean have all the answers.  It means you have the ability to keep going, putting one foot in front of the other, even when you think you can’t.

By staying in the moment , you slowly move forward, hour by hour, day by day and month by month until you can look bak and say, I did it!

Attitude is the key component in how you deal with life.  If you give negative thoughts a chance to get hold of you, it will be hard to plow ahead.  It takes courage and hard work.  We have to find moments in each day to enjoy life and day to day activities.

Resiliaence is the process of adapting to life in the face of adversity.  It is the process of bouncing back. It’s an ordinary activity, it’s not a trait people are born with.  Resilience is developed through positive thoughts and actions.  If you keep a positive view  of your abilities and keep things in some form of perspective, you can persevere.

It’s like the story of the exhausted bird who takes a breather on the branch of a tree.  The strong wind suddenly blows the brand it seems as though it will break.  But the bird is cook with this, because she knows that she holds the power to use her wings and fly away.  She knows there are other branches on which she can rest along her travels.

Always believe in yourself and the power that you have will be limitless.

Sometimes you just have to take the leap of faith and believe in yourself and do what needs to be done and then you will see that things will start falling into place.

The best part of hitting rock bottom is that there is only one direction to go, and that is up

Where there is no struggle, there is no strength.

It's not joy that makes us grateful, it is gratitude that makes us joyful!

Author Unknown

June 27th- I am very grateful for all of you!

Sunday is a time when you sit back and reflect on all the blessings you have received.  Smile at all the good things that you are  enjoying.

Sera Train

Im thankful that summertime has arrived in Ohio. Wehad some rainy days but no bad storms.  Just enough to keep everything growing and green.

I’m thankful I was able to get out and enjoy watching my first baseball game of the season.  One of my grandson’s was playing and it was an exciting game.  They wound up with a tied score and the umpire called it on account of it getting too late.

We’re blessed to have longer hours of daylight but still when night falls it is dark and the field wasn’t lighted for night games.

I’m thankful all the parents who take time to make sure the kids can enjoy playing baseball. Everyone is a volunteer from coaches to the snack bar servers.

I’m thankful that my car is still running safely and I’ve not had  do any repairs this year at all.  My old car was constantly needing something done, so it’s a blessing to have a newer car.that has been worry free this year.

I am thankful that I have a bike that allows me to still get some exercise.  I can ride much easier than I can walk these days.  I am thankful that my community is a safe place to ride too.  There is very little traffic and the speed limit is set at 10 miles per hour.

Most of all I’m thankful that this week found my family all safe and healthy once again.  I can hardly wait until the vaccine is made available to all children no matter their age.  It’s the only way we have of stopping this terrible virus.

I do hope you’ve had a blessed week too.  It’s such a good feeling to count our blessings !

Sunday is the golden clasp that binds together the volume of the week.

Start where you are
Use wou have.
Do what you can

Arthur Ashe

June 26th - do what you can with what you have

Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

Francis of Assisi

By working with what you have, you accumulate more experience and explore your expertise, and by the end you’ll be able to do much more than you originally thought possible.

We just have to trust that if action is taken then results ill follow. I think if you believe you can do it, then you will do it. We have to believe we can do what it takes to get a job done and find success.

I like to think that any one that does what they can has done enough.  We can only do what we’re capable of, but many don’t even try.  The trick is to begin.

We need to start every day with doing what we can the best we can, and work to the finish line.If it’s something you really want, then you’ll make your dreams happen.

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

Patience is a form of action.

Auguste Rodin

June 25th - hurry up and wait

Patience is not an absence of action; rather it is timing.  It waits on the right time to act, for the right principals and in the right way.

Fulton J. Sheen

Patience is a valuable character trait to develop.  It may appear to be passive, however, it’s an active, focused and necessary form of self discipline.

It takes a lot of strength to be patient than loosing it over something. It’s defined as, bearing pains or trials calmly or without complaint.steadfast despite opposition, difficulty or adversity.

Patience is the calm acceptance that things can happen in a different order that the one you have in mind.

Without patience, life is extremely frustrating.  You are easily annoyed, bothered and irritated.  Patience adds a dimension of ease and acceptance to your life.

Patience is natural.  Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.

Chapter 6, Page 24, Book 21

Wake up with a purpose

Author Unknown

June 24th - how you start your day is crucial

Always remember to fall asleep with a dream and wake up with a purpose.

Author Unknown

I used to work and found out that my day would look like the way I started it.  If I woke up grumpy, my day turned out to be grumpy as well.  Sometimes its out of our control but when you start your day well, you feel better in no time.

It’s the key to having the best days of your life. Our days are not created equal and its hard to schedule free time when we have so many tasks to do. Waking up early combined with a morning routine is consider the number one stategy to disapline ourselves into reaching our goals.

The principal is simple.  If you can’t follow your goals in the afternoon and evening because of external factors, wake up early when you are free of external disturbances. feel more productive and don’t have other things on your mind.

It depends on what we want to accomplish in the morning. Our personal life goals should always be our top priority, not our routines, which are just routine, not more.

Goals are actions that we have to be committed to doing, while routines are series of actions incorporated in our daily life that don’t requite a high level of commitment.

We need a certain amount of will power.  By turning actions and activities in routines it needs less will power.  and we are able to do the tasks more readily.

If you want to wake up early to pursue your goals you need to discipline yourself.  My purpose was always to support and take care of my family, so I made sure to do my work everyday and tried to make it good day every day.

We can’t control what happens but we can control our attitude toward what happens  Having a purpose gives you a reason to wake up.

Purpose is the driving force behind eery action we take.  Without it, it won’t last long and success won’t come.  By having it, and keeping it though the process , we manage to stay motivated and eventually achieve out goal.

We live in a world where most people are always in a hurry, doing things they don’t want to do.  Spending time with people that don’t care about, working for someone they can’t stand.   It’s a matter choice for each one of us.

We just need to put our hearts and souls into what we want to  do.

The purpose of life is a life of purpose.

Robert Byrne

Chapter 6, Page 23, Book 21

Until it's your turn, keep clapping for others.

Author Unknown

June 23rd - Encouragement keeps us going

Be an Encourager: When you encourage others, you boost their self esteems, enhance their self confidence, make them work harder, lift their spirits and make them successful in their endeavors. Encouragement goes straight to the heart and is always available.  Be an encourager. Always.

Roy T. Bennett

In society today, there are not enough encouragers.  By definition, an encourager is someone who aspires courage, spirit and confidence.

The world is full of critics. It has plenty of discouragers.  It would be a better plan if it had more  encouragers.  Encouragers  demonstrate a real and loving concern for people.  They are keenly aware of when challenging conditions and circumstance ignite fear, break hears and rob you of your passion.  Encouragers actively listen with empathy.  they see people as storehouses of untapped potential because they don’t see where you are, but have a vision of where you can be by looking at people as a work in progress.

Encouragers see circumstances and conditions as changeable and help create solutions for positive change. They help support your race to the finish line.

Great encouragers become pictures of humility, authenticity, compassion and action. John Maxwell said, Encouragement changes everything.  Bless and be blessed.

Encouragement to others is something everyone can give.  Somebody needs what you have to give.  It may not be your money; it may be you’re time.  It maybe your listening ear.  It may be your arms to encourage.  It may be your smile to uplift. Who knows?

Joel Osteen

The more grateful I am, the more beauty I see.

Mary Davis

June 22nd - every day may not be good but there is something good to be found in every day.

Joy is the simplest form of gratitude.

Karl Barth

There is beauty all around us but some don’t seem to see it. Truth is that the more you are thankful,  the more you’ll have to be thankful for.  I look for the beauty and find it everyday because I’m looking for things to be thankful for.  Once you start this habit, it’s an on going habit that keeps growing every day.

When your consistently grateful, it completely changes the way you go through life.

Those who have it, live more joyful, simpler and happier lives, The more grateful you are the more you experience joy and the more you find you find yourself filled with a zest for life.

It’s time to stop focusing on what you don’’t have and start delighting in all the good things in your life.  You’ll be amazed by the transformation.

Just imagine something so simple can change our lives simply by the way we think. The more we look for blessings the more we find them.

Choosing gratitude promotes overall health, self care and fewer aches and pains.  It increases happiness and lifts depression.

A well known proverbs says, As a woman thinks in her heart, so is she.  Choose gratitude for a more beautiful life.  You are worth it !

Be grateful for whot you already have while you pursue your goals.  If you aren’t grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you would be happy with more.

Chapter 6, Page 21, Book 21

Decide that life is good and you are special.  Decide to enjoy today.  Decide that you will live life to the fullest now, no matter what. Trust that you will change what needs changing , but also decide that you're not going to put off enjoying life,, just because you don't have everything you want now.  Steadfastly refuse to let anything steal your joy.  Choose to use happy and you will be.

Donna Fargo

June 21st- Its Monday again

From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life.

Arthur Ashe

This is your Monday morning reminder that you can handle whatever life throws act you this week You are amazing. You are worth it. And You got this!  Have a wonderful day!

Mondays get a bad rap as far as I’m concerned.  It’s a new week and time for new beginnings, a fresh start, and a clean slate.  I think that Monday’s set the tone for the rest of the week, so we want to make sure today is  a good one, so the rest of the week will be a good week.

Life is what you make it.  Make it a good one!

I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, cracked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing.

Chapter 6, Page 20, Book 21

Cheerfulness is the best promoter of health and is as friendly to the mind as to the body.

Joseph Addison

June 20th -You can’t help but be happy when you count your blessings

Cheerfulness, it would appear, is a matter which depends as much on the state of things within, as on the state of things without and around us.

Charlotte Bronte

It’s Sunday and my day to count the blessings of this past week.  I’ve much to be thankful for and I am a happy camper!

I’m thankful for the first day of Summer, always a happy season when folks take vacations and the weather is mostly pleasant and we can enjoy the great outdoors.  I’m thankful for Father’s Day which pays tribute to all the wonderful Dads out there.  They are our unsung heroes.

I’ m thankful for the Dad’s in my life.  Family and friends.  Everyone of them is loved and appreciated.  I’m thankful that my family came through another week healthy and happy.  I’m thankful that today is sunny and bright and I can go to Church without having to dodge the showers.

I’m thankful for my church that I’ve belonged to for well over 50 years.  I’ve always lived in the same town and so I’ve not had to change where I worship.  It’s like a 2nd home to me, so much of my life has been involved in activities there.  I’m thankful for all the wonderful people I know from going to church over the years.  They’ve all contributed to who I am.  I really think the people are the church not the building we go to.

I’m thankful this week that I was able to find someone to mow my grass.  It was getting to be too much for me and one of my son’s was helping me out, but he is busy with his own life and does’t need to worry about me all the time.  This allows me to free up some of his time and I don’t feel like a burden. The new guy was recommended by a friend and he does a good job and doesn’t charge a lot of money either.  I’m so thankful for all my friends far and near.  They are always there for me.

I’m thankful that I can pay my way and am not dependent on anyone else for my support.  Thanks to working for many years, I get enough to live on now that I’m retired.  I’m also thankful that although I cannot do what I once did, I can still do something and that is better than nothing at all.

There is always so much to be thankful for I could go on and on.  Every day is such a gift, we need to rejoice and be glad in it.

I hope your week has blessed you too and you can count your blessings.  It’s a wonderful feeling.

To be seventy years young is sometimes far more cheerful and hopeful than to be forty years old.

Oliver Wendell Homes Sr.

Perhaps I am stronger than I think.

Thomas Merton

June 19th - You never know how strong you can be

With a new day comes new strength and new thoughts.

Eleanor Roosevelt

Found in an old email:

A Strong Woman Versus A Woman of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape but a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn’t afraid of any thing but a woman of strength always shows courage in midst of her fear.

A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her but a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future. I women of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears  a look of confidence on her face, but a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is stong enough for the journey, but a woman of strength has faith that it in the journey she will become strong.

 Lavida Harris

I’ve been called a strong woman before, but I think I’m a women of strength.

You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice.
