Chapter 5, Page 32, Book 21

Go fast enough to get there, but slow enough to see.

Jimmy Buffet

May 22nd - Live in the slow lane.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Robert Lloyd

After living life in the fast lane for many years I’n thankful to be living life in the slow lane done.  I can take time to do things and enjoy life more.

There is nothing I need to do in a hurry, and that’s a good thing because my body only knows one speed and that is slow and slower.

You do see a lot more when you go slow.  You can enjoy the scenery and not fly past it on the run.

Just taking slow steps to do any thing beats not moving forward at all.  Sometimes we need to take baby steps to achieving our goals.

I love sitting on the porch and watching life pass by.  Somedays the only exercise I get it rocking in my rocking chair.  Life moves very fast but it’s up to us to control the speed.

Life is too short to be anxious and stressed.  We cannot waste our time worrying about the future and wishing our lives away.  I’m not going to worry about what I can no longer do, but enjoy each day I have left to the best of my ability.

You’re only here for a short visit.  Don’t hurry don’t worry and be sure to smell the flowers along the way.

Walter Hagen

I agree with you Ma. I lived so many years in the fast lane, I love this slower paced life I'm living now. I hope you are having a great weekend. :)

Such a true post! Love the slower pace of my life now. I was so busy, that I missed half of what was going on around me! Being able to do whatever I want during any given day is so much more enjoyable, than having to be at places at certain times everyday of the week is less stressful. Sooooo nice. xo

It is hard to slow down, but I have found that it makes a difference if you continue doing the things you enjoy doing. But truthfully it is very hard to actually slow down, but it is necessary.

I still have a hard time slowing down. I think part of it comes from growing up on a busy farm where there was always something that needed to be done. I have a hard time letting things go (or sit) to just sit and enjoy myself. Have a good night - xo Diana
