Chapter 5, Page 16, Book 21

Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continually.  And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

May 16th - thankful Sunday

Being grateful does not mean that everything is necessaryily good. It just means you can accept it as a gift.

Roy T. Bennett

Although this week brought the death of a good friends daughter. I’m can be thankful that she is now in a better place. No more pain or sorrow. The daughter grew up with my children and they were friends into adulthood.  We can all rejoice and be thankful for good friends!

We never know what may happen tomorrow so we should be thankful for every day we get.  Life is a gift and we don’t know how long it will last.  We can only control what we have and that is right now, the present moment.  I’m happy and thankful for each moment of my life.

This week also found all of my own precious family healthy and safe and I thank God for all of them.  They are my life and reason for living.

I’m thankful for a week of sunshine and no rain.  Things are finally drying up here and getting warmer.  We can only hope for more good days to follow.

I’m thankful for the wedding anniversaries we celebrated in our family this week.  It’s the answer to every mom’s prayer that their children are married to a loving and good person.

It was all in all a good week and one I’m thankful for.  Sometimes bad things happen but we can find something good in every thing.

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content.

Always be thankful and you will have more to be thankful for.

Always so much to be thankful for. My heart goes out to your friend, that has to be one of the hardest things in the world to deal with.

"We never know what may happen tomorrow ..." Amen!
There occurred a terrible automobile crash yesterday, and last night I was reading commentary on FB about the deceased. Shock and 'how could this happen?'. Hopefully, if anything good can come of tragedies like this, more people will pause to give thanks and live intentionally.

We are so blessed, I would be a slacker not to be grateful!
