Chapter 5, Page 11, Book 21

An effort made for the happiness of others lifts above ourselves

Lydia M. Child

May 11th - give a lift to others

We rise by lifting others.

Robert Ingersoll

With all the hard things we face on a daily basis, there is always someone who could use an encouraging word.  The best way to cheer our selves  up to cheer someone else up..  We need to look beyond ourselves and begin to focus on others.

It’s way to easy to criticize other people, but whether the criticism is justified or not, it will make someone upset and bring them down.  It’s better to give a compliment or a kind word instead. They will give someone a lift up.

If we don’t have anything positive to say it’s better to not say anything at all.
Words of encouragment, a bit of praise, a pat on the back, a hug or even just a smile all do much to lift someone’s spirits.

Always remember that one  kind word can change someone’s entire day.

Encouraging others is aways encouraging to yourself as well.

If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else.

Booker T. Washington

Along with a smile, a word of appreciation and encouragement CANNOT be valued, it is priceless!

Being kind doesn't cost a thing. And it feels good, too!
