Chapter 4, Page17, Book 21

You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.

Michael Jordan

April 17th - believe in yourself

Develop success from failures.  Discouragment and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success.

Dale Carnegie

If you don’t believe in yourself, you won’t get anywhere. No matter how many people tell you that you are great and can be successful, it won’t matter unless you think that of yourself. If you really want success, the failures will push you harder.

Chances are what make people successful.  People like Steve Jobs took a chance on their idea and it got him far.  You can’t be afraid to fail.

Understand that you can be whatever you want to be if you put your mind to it.  Having a vision is essential, but we have to believe in ourselves in order to take the steps toward that vision.  If you think you can do a thing, then you can do it.

Our expectations for ourselves affect our future performance.  The attitudes and expectations you have for yourself can fortify and protect your body and help unlock its true potential. We get to choose whether or not we think we’ll be successful.  It in our power to do so.  Expect to do your best and you can do it.

To accomplish great things we mast first dream, then visualize, then plan…believe…act!

Alfred A. Montepert

Never stop believing in yourself. You can do whatever you think you can!

Good advice. We should expect more of ourselves. Pushing one's self can result in success, we have seen that example many times. Expecting something of yourself is good, expecting more of others will lead to disaster, if we do not watch ourselves.
Over cast down here today,
Sherry & jack thinking of you!

Not sure where it came from -- my parent's example, perhaps -- but I've always held myself to a higher standard than what my bosses might expect. Unfortunately, sometimes that means I'm also my own worst critic. (LOL)
