There is no happier person than a truly thankful, content person.
April 25h -Thankful Sunday
It is not happy people that are thankful, it is thankful people that are happy.
If you choose to be grateful, then you choose to be happy. The attitude of gratitude will always bring happiness,
When you think about all the blessings in your life and are thankful for them you can’t help but be happy.
It’s with joy that I’m happy to say, I’m a very content person and have everything I need. I don’t have a lot, but I have enough to make me happy.
My family is alive and well and there is nothing that brings more happiness. This weekend I was able to go to church and see one of DS#5’s daughters receive her first communion. I’m thankful that we can once again gather in the church and I’m thankful my son takes his children to church and that they know the importance of communion. Not everyone realizes what a gift it is to us from our Lord. He instituted this by meeting with his disciples at the last supper.
I’m am thankful that Spring is returning to Ohio and that by Tuesday we’re to be in the 80’s here. It’s really too early and not a norm at all to be that warm, but we’ll soon return to our more normal 60’s and 70’s. What was not normal was the 30’s and 40’s we had last week that brought an April snow to our area. Thankfully we all came through that storm safe and well. The roads got slippery fast but the road crews got right out and treated the roads so they were safe to travel.
I’m thankful my daughter and I were able to go and get our monthly hair cut. She also gets color done on her hair. We know what it's like to have to forego that luxury and are thankful that we can do this each month again. Slowly but surely things are getting back to normal.
I’m thankful for a couple of my son’s that took the time to call me and update me with what’s going on in their lives. They are very busy but do take time out to spend some time on the phone with me. That makes me a very happy mom.
I’m also very thankful for a thoughtful friend who not only stopped by for a visit but brought me lunch one day this week. It was one of my favorites, a fish dinner. Lake Erie perch is delicious when prepared right and this was delicious. Good friends, and good food what could be better. We used to camp together side by side when our children were young so we had plenty to reminiscence about.
May you appreciate and enjoy the blessings surrounding you today, tomorrow and always !
Be grateful for what you already have while you pursue your goals. If you aren’t grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you would be happy with more.
