Chapter 4, Page 22, Book 21

Some talk to you in their free time and some free their time to talk to you.  Learn the difference.

April 22nd - I make time for you.

Appreciation can make a day, even change a life.  Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.

Margaret Cousins

It’s important to make time for others in our lives.  Our friends and family are so important to us and we never know exactly when we will see them again.

I’ve mentioned before how my daughter always takes the time to call me every day.  She never fails but to check in on me and I'm very thankful for that.

I always make the time for the love ones in my life.  Making time to talk with them or spend with them.  They all seem to live such busy lives, while I on the other hand have nothing but time on my hands.  I usually wind up letting my family call me, as I know how busy they are and don’t want to interrupt them when they are busy.  So I let them call me when they have time.

I’m always available to take their calls or to do whatever they need when they need help.

When I was working I didn’t always have the time to spend with them, the way I’d have liked to do, but now I’m retired, I have plenty of time.

It’s nice when you can schedule time with them to get together, but that’s not always possible.  These days I’m ready at the drop of a hat, and can make time anytime I want.

I have some friends that I used to try to get together with once a month and when we got together, we’d set a date for our next get together before we’d part.  That had to stop when the pandemoniac hit us and we’ve not met in a long long time, but now we are all vaccinated so very soon now we’ll be able to get together again  It’s such a relief to gather with friends and family once again.  More and more people are getting vaccinations every day.

I’m always near a phone, as I try to carry it along with me in my pocket, so I’m always available for a phone call.  But if I’m with friends or family, I try to avoid conversations when I’m with others.  The ones I’m with deserve all of my attention when I see them.  So I unplug from technology and give them undivided attention.

I appreciate them and want them to know that.

Love is letting others know how much you appreciate them.

Beautiful and I agree! I love when I have my family all together and I can put my phone away and not have a worry in the world. :)

Like you've said, my son and family are so busy I wait for them to call. Or at least text and ask if it's convenient to chat.

I wish more people were as thoughtful as you, and would put away their electronic devices!

We made it to NC, enjoyed the read. We try to get the family together and we do enjoy it. WE have a couple when we get together who hold onto their devices and use them much of the time. It is distracting, but seems to be the day and time for that stuff.
Love from North Carolina....
