Chapter 4, Page 18, Book 21

Gratefulness offers a merciful path for walking through life with our eyes and hearts open, It supports us to attend to the potency of what ls life affirming, beautiful and moving in our exact moments of breken heartedness. It invites us to sit with paradox in more fully noticing the magnificence of humanity as we face the mire.

April 18th - Thankful Sunday

I don’t know where the time goes, but it’s Sunday once again.  I’m thankful that this week was a busy one that kept me out o trouble.  I didn’t get a whole lot done, but at least I got a few things done, and that is better than doing nothing.

I’m thankful that I could get out and go shopping while the sun was shinning, we had several days that were cold, wet, and blustery.  I’m also thankful it looks to be a sunny Sunday with temps back up in the 60’s here.  I just don’t do well at all in the cold weather.

As far as I know everyone in my family came through this week safe and happy.  I don’t always hear from all of them, but I figure no news is good news.  They always let me know when something is wrong.

I’m thankful for my daughter who faithfully calls me every day to check in.  I’m thankful to have a real live human to talk to.  I spend way too much time alone.

That’s the highlights of my week, I hope you all had a good one too.  Just remember to count your blessings and not your woes.

Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty;
not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.

The more you count your blessings, it seems the more you have to be thankful for.

So glad it's a nice day there today. I know what you mean about not doing well in the cold, same here and I also don't do well in the extreme heat either. Oh well, we make the best of it that we can. Have a nice Sunday Ma!

Indeed, having your daughter call daily is a blessing. What I would give to hear my own mother's voice again!
I love the phrase, "attend to the potency of what ls life affirming ....." Potency. I like that!
Wishing you a sweet Sunday, Ma!

Having a faithful daughter to talk to everyday is such a blessing!! God provides what we need. I don't do well in cold, wet weather either. I am feeling so much better as the season is turning warmer. Thank you for visiting Lakehouse. I appreciate your encouraging comments that you leave. Have a great week. xo
