Chapter 3, Page 7, Book 21

Thank you God, for this good life and forgive us if we do not love it enough.

 March 7th - Thankful Sunday

Not life, but good life, is to be chiefly valued.

Socrates

This is another Sunday to share what I’m thankful for this week.  First and foremost I’m thankful for my life and all the years I’ve lived.  I am thankful to be the age I am and wouldn’t want to go back and do it again. The first 77 years were hard encough, but I lived through it all and am still alive and thriving.

Life is such a beautiful thing. Every day is a gift and I’m thankful for each one I get.  I’ve been retired now for 11 wonderful years.  I may not have everything, but I have all I need.  I don’t have to do without things in order to enjoy my life.

This week also brought me much joy with a party given by my two children that live nearby.  It’s wonderful that they chose to stay right here in our hometown.  All my other children live at least 2 hours away and I don’t get to see them often at all. Thanks to them I have people to celebrate with.  They are always there for me and I’d be lost without them.

I really am thankful for all of them, the near and the far.  They all help in their own way.  Sometimes with just a card to say I love you.  I’m thankful for the internet and the phone that keeps us in touch.  I may not hear from them often, but enough that I know that no news is good news.  If it’s something I need to know they do share.

It’s been a good week and a good life and I’m thankful for it.  I’m happy and content.

Hope you all have had a great week too that you can be thankful for.

I love you all !

Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love, to work, to play, and to look up at the stars.

Hey Lady, we do enjoy hearing about your family and the closeness. Wonderful and necessary for most of us. We too enjoy the ones around home and they keep us HAPPY and lots of smiles.
Love sent from Florida along with hugs for this sweet Sunday.

I love that prayer by Garrison Keillor!
Thank YOU for always reminding us what really matters. Our lives may look very different, but in many ways they're the same. Have a wonderful new week and a very Happy Birthday!

Life is as grand as we choose to make it when we have health and our needs meant. I, too, am so grateful for just the day to day living experiences I am able to enjoy...even a new puppy that needs lots of attention and lots of cleaning up after. I am THANKFUL today that I stored my new beautiful rugs before puppy came to live with us! lol. xo Diana
