March 24TH - Just let it go...
Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.
Resentments can block any possibility for peace and happiness.A grudge can replay in your head and you will revisit the anger you originally felt. The more you think about it the deeper the resentment wedges into our mind and body.
Revisiting the anger evokes stress in our bodies, giving us racing hearts, spikes in blood pressure, shallow breathing and even muscular tension.
Holding grudges hurts us. Grudges are like smoldering embers when you poke the fire and the flame brightens.
Remember you are in charge of what you think and do. Make a choice not live in a victim mentality,Take responsibility for your emotional well being. Focus all the energy on ways to heal the situation for your own health.
Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves. Life is far to short to allow grudges to kill happiness. Forgiveness will free your mind and release the stress from your body.
It’s not easy to forgive and forget, but it will do your body good. Forgiveness is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. It’s not about fair or not fair. It has nothing to do with fairness. It’s something we do for ourselves to make us feel better.
Let Go! How would your life be different if you learned to let go of things that have already let go of you?
