Chapter 3, Page 19, Book 21

Your purpose in life is to be you !

March 19th - Be yourself

Be yourself, everyone else is already taken

Oscar Wilde

I think we were all made perfectly and uniquely ourselves.  There is no one else like we are.  Each of us has own own talent and  value that others do not have.

We each have a purpose in life and it’s ours to fulfill.  We cannot do that if we are trying to be like every one else.  It’s important to always be yourself and let your own light shine.

It’s easy to follow the herd and give into peer pressure  and demand for conformity.  It is a lot more difficult to strike out on you’re own and truly be yourself.  Being true to yourself is perhaps one of the best gifts you can give to the world.

We need to accept ourselves for who we are and what we can do. Being yourself means shedding all the layers of looking good, wanting to be liked and stand out trying to be who you think people want you to be.  Being yourself means being naked, raw and vurlnerable.

There is nothing wrong with being different.  In fact there are many benefits in being unique and original.  It’s something we should all strive for.

Always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second rate version of someone else.

Judy Garland

Be yourself. No other version, no matter how perfect it is, would ever feel better than in your own true self.

Oh, you're making me smile again! I remember when my best friend and I wanted our mothers to buy us matching dresses so we could pretend to be twins. Ha!
It's a powerful feeling when we allow ourselves to be real. To be vulnerable.

At the end you said:
There is nothing wrong with being different. In fact there are many benefits in being unique and original. .......
I think many people who have 'found' themselves don't even know it. It was so natural for them. Others must actually work to 'Not Follow the Herd' as you said.
Funny that, at times I enjoy being me (but not always!)
We think of you often lady,
Sherry & jack..... today is a cool one here in Florida near noon and still in the low 60s.
