My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.
February 9th - thriving in 2021
Make up your mind no matter what comes your way, no matter how difficult, no matter how unfair, you will do more than simply survive. You will thrive inspite of it.
I’m still working on my word for this year. Thriving, not just surviving. Keeping myself busy and doing what I love. It’s not easy at all in the winter, but I’m doing the best I can here and making an effort.
We are stronger than we think and it’s when adversity hits us that we prove just how strong we can be. Things only break you if you allow them to.
You never know when or if your life will drastically change. But we can appreciate what we have right now and not put off things until tommorow.
You do what it takes. A molehill doesn’t have to feel like a mountain. Be hopeful and positive about the future. Expect something good will happen.
We need to be resilient people. It’s not about grinning and bearing it. It’s about doing something and taking action.
Resilience helps us develop skills that protect us during experiences which could be overwhelming. It helps us maintain balance in ur lives and protects us from burnout, anxiety and depression.
To thrive means to grow and flourish, not simply scrape by. It requires a shift in mindset and taking chances on occasions. We have to be able to take the first step and move forward in the direction we want to go.
Thriving isn’t about making life comfortable, fun and happy; it’s about finding purpose and making our own unique contribution.
