Chapter 12, Page 11, Book 20

Your greatness is not what you have, it’s what you give.

Alice  Hocker

December 11th - give your best

Life is a boomerang. You give, you get.

Giving is the key to success fulfillment, prosperity and a life of prosperity. the world needs more people who go into the world and give their all to the betterment of society.  People need to stand up and start adding value to other’s lives by being of service and living selflessly.  We take our lives to a new level by being by being of service to the millions of people who need to awaken their greatest self.  You shall get what you give.  The good you put into the world will return to you in an abundance.

Greatness comes to those that know how to give, the best way they can.  Not all of us have money to do great things, but we can all do great things with love.

Tis the season of giving so I’ve been posting a lot about it, I hope that in some smalll way it inspires you to be a giver.

We often associate happiness with having possessions whenever we so desire, but the truth is that having lots of money and material things will not make us happy.  They can, in fact cause more problems than not.  If you want the best, then you have to give the best.

It’s normal to want to dress your best and sometimes enjoy a good meal.  These desires are all normal, it’s when the material things are the primary things we strive for that things start to go awry.

It’s when we begin placing the accumulation of possessions above relationships with other people, perhaps above our family and friends, that it becomes an unhealthy addiction.

But if you decide to invest your money in experiences rather than possessions, they can last you a lifetime of memories.
And the fact you can bring loved ones into those experiences with you, you know you have shared a memory with the most important people in your life.

Sharing the best we can with others will bring more happiness than material things ever will.

At the end it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished.  It’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’ about what you’ve given back.

I especially love that last quote. I've always really loved the idea of experiences rather than possessions, it's so much more meaningful!

I'm really grateful to have landed in a community that's so service-focused. There always seems to be an opportunity to give of one's time.

Can't take anything with us when we pass so might as well not accumulate possessions but cultivate giving to people and sharing Jesus with them :)
