Chapter 11, Page 16, book 20

You have been blessed with a mind that can direct your actions in any way that you choose.

November 16th - thankful for my mind

People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be.

Abraham Lincoln

I’m thankful I have a mind that allows me to make good choices.  The human mind is a wonderful thing. The process of thinking enables us to process vast amounts of information quickly.  For example every time we open our eyes our brain is being bombarded with stimuli.  We may be thinking about one specific thing, but the brain is precessing thousands of subconscious ideas.

We all have one but it seems some are better than others.  Some people are smarter.  I’m not the wisest person on earth, but am still a work in progress.

I try to keep my mind alert by learning something new every day to help make me a better decision maker.  We need to ensure our choices are congruent with the goals we have.

Any choice involves at least two options, both of which have pros and cons associated with them.  Taking a moment to reflect upon your situation can help you to have a more informed decision.

Any choice is made by considering goals that more important to you.   I figure if I keep myself focused on what is important in my life than everything else seems to easily fall into place.

Choice making is a part of our daily lives.  Ordinarily we’re very good at making choice and we do so efficiently.  Now and then, however we come up against something that gives us a moment to pause.  When that occurs look for the options and notice the higher values that appear in what you’re considering .  Once the important goal is in view your decision will be made clear.

Happiness depends on your mindset and attitude.

I do find that to be true, I seem to learn something every day, that is good.
Also, at times we have a problem knowing WHAT is IMPORTANT and MOST important in our lives, but once we know, paying attention is easier.

This just jogged something in my memory. Tony Robbins once said something like, From the moment we wake up every morning, we're subconsciously asking ourselves questions -- and making decisions based on our answers.
Personally, I've always felt my first choice is the right one. Too easy to get caught up in second-guessing ourselves. Time-consuming, too. LOL.

A positive out look helps get us thru tough times. But oh there's times when we just have to cry and let it out, then pray. That's how I have survived a lot of times these past two years. I do feel that if you try hard to be upbeat it helps. Putting others first is a good way to think of something besides yourself. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

I think we've all made choices we would not do again in different circumstances but I do think we learn from each and every choice we make. I'm glad we have the opportunity to make those choices, good or bad!
