Chapter 10, Page 7, Book 20

Let your hopes , not your hurts shape your future.

Robert H. Schuller

October 7th - don’t let a bad day ruin your life.

Stop letting people who do so little for you control so much of your mind feelings, and emotions.

Will Smith

Everyone gets there feelings hurt  now and then.  People are not always kind and can be rude without even thinking about it.  Usually it’s something else that is bothering them them makes them react that way.

Grumpy faces, sarcastic comments or plain rudeness rivals with our good mood and can make our energy levels drop instantly.

Your day can be ruined unless your you choose to  distance yourself from them.  We can’t take it personally .

Walk away.  Do what is in your power to not retaliate.  Sometimes a smile will do more than anything else.  Instead of letting them know they’ve up set us, shake things up and smile back.  Take a deep breath and go to your happy place.  Think of that place that makes you happy and smile.

Negative people are present in everyday life.  We can’t escape them, How ever we can act with grace and gratitude by smiling, not retaliating and breathing.

Our attitude is one thing we all have control of and when we choose to react in a certain way, we can keep positive and smile.

I’m a believer that life is what we make of it.

Breathe. Let Go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one your know you have for sure.

Hey that is a good quote - don't let a bad day ruin your life - tomorrow will be another day.

In retrospect I wish I'd thought to smile in response to my GM's mood swings. To retaliate may feel instinctive, but doesn't get us anywhere.

For some reason this awakened a funny memory: A few years ago the GM yelled at her AGM, "I just don't understand why you need to smoke." Without batting an eyelash, Kelli responded, "Because you won't let us drink on the job."

I am cracking up at Myra's comment. But in the post this GEM hit me as FACT:
Our attitude is one thing we all have control of and when we choose to react in a certain way, we can keep positive and smile. .........
That is so danged true.

So true we can control our thoughts and our attitudes even if we have negative people around us!
