Chapter 10, Page 25, Book 20

Gratitude turns what we have into enough.

October 25th - rejoice and be grateful

Our favorite attitude should be gratitude.

Zig Ziglar

It’s my day to give thanks and rejoice in all the blessings I’ve received this week. Once more the good Lord has brought me and my family through another week of this pandomenic safely.  We had some illness in the family, but it has been sorted out and was not Covoid related.  That is truly something to be thankful for.

There is something about thankfulness that brings me pure joy.  It makes my heart sing !  You cannot help but be joyful when you’re thankful. Thinking about what makes us happy will cause us to be happy.

You can have joy and be happy but you can’t be happy without joy. It’s easy to be happy when you have freedom from suffering , you’re financially secure, and all your relationships are good, but then you have trouble when one or more of these is gone.  Happiness s based on happenings meaning if things happen to go well, you’re happy, but if when it happens that something bad occurs then you’re happiness is likely gone.  Not so with joy. Joy doesn’t depend on your circumstances .  One is from God, and one is from us.  One can come and go but the other will remain. One of the fruits of the spirit is joy.

When we look for the good in life we will find it and our joy will remain with us always.  Count your blessings of which we all have many and your joy will be complete.

I will be glad and rejoice in the Lord.  This is the Lords’Day and I will be glad in it.

Find the good and praise it.

As a child I remember my mother saying, "All that matters is your health." ... and I'd think she had little to no imagination. Funny, the older I become I realize how wise she was.

It is good to be back to where I can at least read the blogs. Love this one and I am still digesting Aesop, What a deep thinking concept.
