Chapter 10, Page 17, Book 20

Tough times don’t last, tough people do.

Robert H. Schuller

October 17th - there is always hope even in the worst of circumstances

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Bob Marley

As we overcome each obstacle life brings our way, one day at a time, we develop and grow.  We learn new lessons about the world and ourselves. We discover who our friends are, who loves us for who we really are, and who will be by our side as we journey through life.

We develop character to handle the success waiting to reward our perserverance. We trudge through the cold winters, full of hopes and dreams that will come with spring. Just like the seasons change we must remember to  do so in our circumstances.  No challenge, no matter how hard, is permanent.   We must always remember that.

Sometimes adversity is what you need to face in order to become successful.

Zig Ziglar

If you keep determined long enough you will achieve your potential.  You can do anything your set your mind to but it takes determination, persistence and courage.

Determination is what motivates us to improve ourselves and make positive changes in our lives. It enables us to build dreams, live healthier lives, and strengthen our relationships with others.

It ispires us to dream bigger and achieve more for ourselves.  We must never give up on our hopes and dreams.  Tough times won’t last, but tough people do.

In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.

Albert Einstein

BTW, do you read Rick's widow (Jilda) blog? Reading it this morning made me think of you, and your encouraging 'pearls' of wisdom. (*smile*) Here's the link to her blog:

Happy Saturday!

Your post has struck a note with us. Ted and I together just keep doing a bit here and there. Hoping together we can get ready for winter. Boy it is getting close too. :):) We have always worked together...cause many hands do indeed make light work. I do believe when you want something bad enough, you will be willing to work for it. This needs to be taught to our children , then theirs. Blessings, enjoy this weekend, xoxo, Susie

So true there is always hope even in the worst of situations. Without hope I think we give up our will to live. We just need to keep pressing on, no matter how difficult, and usually brighter days are ahead, we just need to keep strong to get through the hard ones.

I do think that it takes hard work to make things good in your life. I think my grandson is seeing that with education. At first he was ready to quit - now I think he is in it for the long haul. Hopefully.
