Chapter 7, Page 17, Book 20

Deep summer is where laziness finds respectability.

July 17th - lazy days of summer

Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August.

Jenny Han

We’re experiencing a heat wave here in Ohio.  It’s been unusually hot and those with a pool have been enjoying them thoroughly.  I stay in the air conditioning a lot and try to keep cool.  It’s been lazy days at my house with easy meals of salads and sandwiches.  Iced tea and lemonade are refreshing and so is iced water.

After experiencing so many days of the year, about half of it, under cloudy skies and little sunshine, I’m delighted to see the bright golden days of summer.  Now I’m a bit spoiled and even when going out have an air conditioned car. Traveling isn’t an inconvenience at all.

As long as we don’t overindulge in the sun, it’s good for us and makes our attitudes lighter and brighter too.  Hope you are enjoying summer as much as I am.  We have to make hay while the sunshines and take advantage of this lovely weather.

I was made for sunny days.

I am now ready for soe lazy days of summer, hahaha. Good one and I really did smile at the Basset in front of the fan. It reminded of my dog ace who loved to ride in a car with his head out the window and ears just flopping. Long before auto a/c in our family.
Sweeet Summer to you,

Even though summer's not my favorite, I'm loving how green and lush everything looks ... in contrast to all those years in the desert Southwest I guess. LOL. Plus, all the fresh produce makes for some 'interesting' salads. Thanking God for whomever invented central a/c!

Our summers are hot and unfortunately the things people do to enjoy summer here are closed like water parks, public pools, movie theaters. We used to enjoy walking the malls but don't want to now as we have to be in a mask. I feel for parents trying to keep their kids occupied and having some fun.

So glad you are enjoying the sunshine. It's too hot here to be very enjoyable but better than cold and dreary any day. Have a great weekend :)
