Chapter 7, Page 15, Book 20

The sign of a beautiful person is that they always see beauty in others.

July 15th -beauty tips

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

Audrey Hepburn

When I think of beautiful people, I think about my grandmother who spent a lifetime making beautiful things for other people.  She crocheted and quilted so many things to give away to others.  Her hands were never idle and always had something new in progress. She put up jars of vegetables and fruits to feed her family.  She was a mother and also a teacher.  She was even a postmistress is her day.  She did what it took to make life beautiful for her family. She is my hero and my role model. I’ve never met anyone else like her.

Women don’t need a bag of cosmetics to feel beautiful.  Women with passion are beautiful. A woman who takes the time to follow her passions, whatever they may be, understands that life is too precious to speed along without enjoying the ride.  Watching someone pursue her dreams is just about the most beautiful experiences we can have.

Compassion, whether one is a mother, lover, colleague, mentor or friend is the adhesive glue that holds relationships together.  A woman who understands how to give and receive love is much more desirable than a woman who has none to spare.

A woman who takes time to cultivate her mind is to be admired.  The pursuit of knowledge and truth is not only attractive, but essential to our existence.  She spent hours studying her Bible and was Sunday school teacher.

Nothing is more beautiful than a woman that refuses to give up.  Tenacity, whether it’s in one’s career, marriage, or physical health is inspiring.  The world lives a fighter.  Resilience isn’t about a woman’s control or refusal to give up her control of another.  It’s about believing that life can't defeat her.  Accepting the worst or the best in equal strength , acting in such away that either outcome will not control her, that’s beautiful.

A woman who doesn’t need other people’s reassurance to help her feel confident is infinitely more appealing than a woman who incessantly seeks other’s approval.

A beautiful woman  has an energy and vitality for life .  When a woman follows her passion, shows compassion, pursues her intellect , keeps a sense of adventure, refuses to give up and believes in herself to be worthy, then her energy will be the spark that lights up everything around her.

Clothing, and make up will never make a beautiful woman.  All women are beautiful and while beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we often forget that we are the beholders. We have to believe that beauty is not only in our form, but in our hearts.  Like diamonds, we are and always have been beautiful.

There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.

Your grandmother sounded like a gem of a woman! I love your description of her and also of a woman with a kind and gentle heart. Beauty is skin deep. Real beauty lies within. Sounds like your grandmother had that inner beauty and so much more!

What an amazing BEAUTIFUL woman, your grandmother. I love this tribute, and will be sharing it with my Bible study ladies. Something we should all aspire to become, regardless of our age!

I love to hear about people like your Grandma. Of course she was beautiful. And I agree, it is not cosmetics that make beauty.

Your grandmother makes me think about women I knew as a child, including my own mother and grandmother. They were role models for sure and never thought much about physical beauty, they didn't have time!!!
