Chapter 7, Page 11, Book 20

He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

July 11th - There is no place like home.

Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam, be it ever so humble, there is no place like home.

John Howard

Our homes should be a place for us to feel welcome and safe.  A home plays a vital role in life. Home is the place we keep our families, where we feel safe and where we enjoy freedom.  And if you have a happy family there is no place like home for complete confort and peace of mind.

A good home is also necessary for proper health and well being.  Home provides relaxation and protects from the harsh environment.  And when we are tired after work or other activities, it’s home that we run to for rest and relief from stress.

For better or worse there is no place like home My home is what I call my peaceful place and I don’t mind being in my home of these days since we’ve been shut in for our health.  I’ve everything I need here to make me happy.  It’s comfortable and cozy and not the least bit fancy.  I want it to be the same for all who visit too, because what good is a home without people in it.  My family has grown up and have their own homes now, but I want them to feel at home when they come to visit.

Home is a shelter from storms - all sorts of storms.

William J. Bennett

Absolutely! Like yours, my home is certainly not fancy ... in fact, one might call the kitchen homely. But, we've surrounded ourselves with those things we enjoy. We don't have a coffee table, but if we did I hope friends and family would feel comfortable putting their feet up on it. *smile*

As stated and commented, home should be the Happy Place for a family, even for a family of one. Funny how I remember going to Grandma Lloyd's house. There was a feeling to a child of safety, love and caring. it was two rooms but somehow our family could fit in when visiting. We want our home to feel like that to the grands and greats.
Yep there is no place like home, true.
