Chapter 5, Page 1, Book 20

Deep breaths are like little love notes to your body.

Anonymous

May 1st - relief is just a breath away.

Remember to breathe.  It is after all, the secret of life.

Gregory Maquire

Deep breathing  is one of the easiest , most convenient and natural tools to combat issues like stress, anxiety and even aide in indigestion.

Deep breathing is something that is not natural for our bodies, to do so we need to practice it and incorporate it into our exercises each day.

Its a super stress buster.  Its free and can be used anywhere.  Deep breathing increases the supply of oxygen to our brain and stimulates the nervous system which promotes a state of calmness.

When you take a deep breath it clears the air so to speak, and lets you think about something else.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our Breath away.

Every now and then, remember to take a deep breath and count to 10 .

So true about the benefits of taking deep breaths. We need to remember to do so during these days. Definitely a great stress reliever!

I've never known exactly why deep breathing induces calmness, but it's always worked for me. It does a beautiful job of keeping stress levels low and maintaining a certain level of equanimity.

NanaDiana said exactly what I should say. Just breathe.

Isn't it curious, when we're overly stressed we instinctively begin taking short rapid breaths -- sometimes to the point of hyperventilating. Good to remember this simple exercise and let our brains take a hold of the steering wheel.

Some times when I get really stressed at night - I do some deep breathing exercises - really calms me down!
