Chapter 4, Page 3, Book 20

Don’t let yesterday use up too much of today.

Will Rogers

April 3rd - make today count

Yesterday is a memory and tomorrow is but a vision but today, well lived, will make every yesterday a pleasant memory and every tomorrow a vision of hope.

The Sanskrit

We can make every day count by making the most of every day.  Yesterday might have been great but today we can do even better.  If you read my other blog, you know I am presently counting down the days until summer. and every day I give a reason to celebrate. There is a holiday for every day and I tell about it.

At the end of the day, the fact we have the courage to be still standing is reason enough to celebrate

Meredith Grey

I do believe there is something special in every day and that we should celebrate. No two days are alike.  Just knowing I have another day of life is cause enough for me to be happy.  It’s not good sitting around and watching the days slip by, we need to do something special to make them count.  For instance yesterday was P,B and J day and I enjoyed a peanut butter sandwich.  There is something we can do ever day to make it extra special and have a reason to celebrate.

I don’t have to have a party, the joy is found in each day. Reasons to make it so aren’t lacking so much as not doing do.We have to make the most of every day and rejoice in it.  Every day is a gift, that why we call it the Present.

Don’t count the days, make the days count.

Good advice here. Too many of us humans keep rolling over yesterday in our minds as if we could change them. We do need reminders like this. I liked Will Rogers' quote:

Don’t let yesterday use up too much of today......

I don't think I had ever read that bit of common sense expressing what we are guilty of unless we pay attention.

Always good to be reminded to live each day joyously and gratefully!

In spite of Meredith Grey being a television character, I love that quote. So applicable to what our health-care warriors are facing in real time.

BTW, I observed National PB day with a wee bite last night -- and again for breakfast a little bit ago. Did you grill yours last night?
