Day 11 - January 5th.

It’s supposed to be cooler today with a high of only 66 degrees. I had to put on my sweat jacket  and grabbled a blanket to sit outside this morning. It’s been in the mid to upper 80’s the rest of the time i’ve been here.   I guess the rain we had yesterday brought some cooler weather along with it.

The rain moved in yesterday after noon so we had to cannel our plans to go sight seeing.  I sat at outside at the table here in a very comfortable chair and read a book most of the day. Matter of fact I read the whole thing and was up to 10:30 pm finishing it off.  It was the best who done it, the I’ve read in a long time, with lots of turns and twists to the story. It was a free book from Amazon and called Uninvited Guest but I don’t remember the authors name.

We had a delicious dinner of leftover Christmas lasagna and spent a wonderful  lazy evening together. Seems everyone needed that after all the busy days we’ve had.

I also gave my sister a call to see how ito see how it was back home.  She said they’d had a miix of snow and rain most of the day there in Ohio.

DS# 5 and family arrived home safely and I’m so thankful.  They sent the picture below when they got there..

Cuddling up with my pups each morning is so comforting! Because it's been a bit cool, I spread a big soft throw across them and sing, "Bug, bug, bug in a rug!"

That quote by Ms. Clayton caused me to laugh out-loud! Happy Sunday!

I try to celebrate Cuddle Up Day every day. I have a cozy lap blanket and I like to sit in my recliner with it and drink a cup of coffee and read the paper. Nothing fancy about it, but it's so cozy.

The weather there sounds wonderful to me! We are getting another snow storm!!
I would like to thank you for your nice comment on my post at the Lakehouse blog. The only comfort we are able to secure in this traumatic situation is through our relationship with Jesus. Knowing He will never leave us, nor forsake us gives us the strength we need to carry on. Love to you. Debbie
