Chapter 1, Page 7, Book 20

My 17 Days Of  Christmas

Day 13 - January 7th

It was a very quiet day with my son and his wife back to work yesterday and today should be another one.  I was able to sit in the afternoon sun for awhile and warmed up, but by evening it was chilly out again.  Today will be warmer with temps reaching 75 degrees. We’re starting out at 50 degrees so I’m sitting inside watching the sunrise this morning..  It’ a beautiful view.  It’s one of my favorite times of day.  I don’t get to see it at home, I only get the sunset there.  It’s just the way the houses are situated.

My grandson’s took advantage of their vacation day and slept in. They go back to school on Wednesday. They are very courteous and considerate though as they do take time to sit and talk with me now and then.  So it wasn’t like I was here by myself.

We had homemade pizza for dinner last night fixed by my DIL.  Like everything I’ve had to eat here, it was delicious.  I think it’s possible I may have gained a few vacation pounds, oh dear.

Oh, I bet you'll take those pounds off if you gained any after you get back home, Ma. Homemade pizza does sound delicious! Enjoy those warm temps today!

I remember you, like me, loving the early sunrises. What a shame your new home doesn't afford you that view! Your grandsons' making time to sit and visit is impressive, for sure. Not many teens (my own, included) find their grandmas very interesting. (*smile*)

You look cute sunbathing your feet - 75 degrees - is that your winter? Sorry your vacation is over.

It has sure sounded like you have had a super holiday over Christmas and New Years. It has been pleasant to see your enjoyment in family pictures. And YES it is nice for the Grands to sit down and talk a little, makes for a warm heart. Enjoy.
Sending Love from over here.
