Chapter 1, Page 6, Book 20

My 17 Days Of  Christmas

Day 12 - January 6th

It’s Three Kings Day today which is typically when  I’d be home putting my Christmas Decorations away but instead I’m spending it with 3 wise men who look a lot like DS#4 and his two boys. Its something I rather be doing anyway!  They say as long as the decorations are down by Ground Hogs day all should be ok as far as luck for the new year goes.  They’ll get put away when I get home. I’ve 5 more vacation days left.

Sunday was a quiet day for everyone here.  DS#4 took me to their church services.  It’s big church and was packed.  We barely found a parking space and  a seat to sit in.  Afterward we went home to a lunch of beans and weinies leftover from Christmas time.  Little by little all the leftovers are being cleared.  The fridge was packed from all the meals we had when everyone was here.

I had a good long Sunday nap and then we went out to dinner at the resturasnt here in their community.  I had a Philly Cheeese steak sandwich which was really good.  They had the ideal photo opportunity set up with the Roaring 20’s s theme so we took advantage of it.

Today my son and his wife are both back to work, so it’ll be just me and their two boys here.  It was only  43 chilly degrees outside so I’v opted to sit at the kitchen table with my coffee this morning instead of on the lanai. I was all bundled up and ready but it was just too cold out. They say it will warm up in the 70’s later on so I should be able to get outside this afternoon.

Yeah MA! that is Florida all right. We are up to 52 here already. It is the sun that makes the difference, usually we have a few cool days, but all in all we stay 10-20 degrees warmer than our place in NC. I love the pictures you share. And my Sherry is like you are now, usually wrapped up when the chill hits. We know you are having a ball. I had no filters for the coffee pot last night and forgot to try to make coffee, but like you girls do, Sherry filled in using paper towels and we are enjoying good coffee. Have a great day down there.

How CUTE you look in that red blanket!
Oh, those onion rings look delicious. That's something I can rarely say 'no' to … even when it's on Tom's plate. (LOL) Nice, having a restaurant nearby; I understand the traffic this time of year is awful.

So cute you are, Ma, all bundled up! You sure are having a great variety of food down while you are visiting! I can't believe the time is going by so fast with your trip!
