Chapter 1, Page 5, Book 20

Day 11 - January 5th.

It’s supposed to be cooler today with a high of only 66 degrees. I had to put my sweat jacket on and grabbled a blanket to sit outside this morning. It’s mostly been in the mid to upper 80’s the rest of the time i’ve been here.   I guess the rain we had yesterday brought some cooler weather along with it.

The rain moved in yesterday after noon so we had to cancel our plans to go sight seeing.  I sat at outside at the table here in a very comfortable chair and read a book most of the day. Matter of fact I read the whole thing and was up to 10:30 pm finishing it off.  It was the best who done it, the I’ve read in a long time, with lots of turns and twists to the story. It was a free book from Amazon and called Uninvited Guest but I don’t remember the authors name.

We had a delicious dinner of leftover Christmas lasagna and spent a wonderful  lazy evening together. Seems everyone needed that after all the busy days we’ve had.

I also gave my sister a call to see how ito see how it was back home.  She said they’d had a miix of snow and rain most of the day there in Ohio.

DS# 5 and family arrived home safely and I’m so thankful.  They sent the picture below when they got there..

I had to layer up this morning when I came outside with a sweater, my sweat jacket and a blanket  It’s 50 degrees, but the sun is shinning.

Glad DD#5 and family made it back safely! I'll have to check out that book, Ma. Sounds fascinating. I'm starting to like books like that. Always wanting to figure out who did it; at the end I'm usually wrong, LOL. That's how the weather is here in Phoenix for the winter. Goes up and down based on storms that come through. I hope the rest of your stay goes back to the 80s for you.

Glad to hear of the family safe trip. I was with you yesterday I also finished a book on my kindle last night. LOL We were inside from the rain here too.
YES the one thing that makes it nice here is that sun on a cool day can still lift your spirits.
Love you lady and we are so glad you had the 80 degree days.
Love to you and yours,
Sherry & jack
(Love the decorated home!)

Good to know your DS#5 and family made it home without incident!
Say, thanks so much for sharing your book's title! Those genres with twists and turns are my favorite. Right now the one I paid good money for I'm finding a bit cumbersome. May just chalk it up as a loss and move onto The Uninvited Guest. Time's a wastin'! :)
