Chapter 1, Page 4, Book 20

My 17 Days Of  Christmas

Day 10 - January 4th

We had a lazy start to the day then DDIL#4 dived into doing laundry trying to catch up after the holidays.  My son washed some windows and the boys did pool duty and cleaned up all the glitter like confetti from from the lanai floor. DS#4 had sprinkled everyone with it on new Year’ Eve

On the way home we stopped for lunch at a place called Slicers where they make delicious hoagie sandwiches.

After we got back home, the Christmas tree came down as well as the outside decorations  The rest of the day was very relaxing and we even got to see our Prince Charming’s hockey game on TV as they had it playing  on U tube  That was in unexpected treat for all of us.  We didn’t even know they did that.

DD and her family make it home by late evening but has some fog and heavy rain to go through. DS#5 and family should make it in sometime today. They stayed overnight in Tennessee and will make the final lap of their trip today.

Glad my family are having safe trips home. It's a long way and they didn't have the best of weather or traffic to deal with.

Sounds like you are eating really well down there, Ma! Probably trying a variety of places to eat that you don't have in Ohio! Its good too to have a day just to get things done and settle into the new year!

Everyone getting home safe and sound is the best ending to a great trip. Loved reading about your happy holiday and seeing your beautiful family.
