Chapter 1, Page 30, Book 20

Don’t be afraid to start over.  You might like your new story.

January 30th - a new year, a new start

When things go wrong, don’t go wrong with them.

Elvis Presley

Every day is a new day a chance to start anew.  this new year is also a new decade. It could also be a new life if we approach it in the right way. Even if the past year was your best so far, the one ahead might just leave it in the dust.  Starting over may feel scary but its really cause for celebration. Think of it as exciting and many of our anxious feelings will begin to fade.

The old year is gone and the new year is just beginning, but its what we do today that makes the difference.  We must leave the past behind and begin anew.Starting over is about giving yourself a chance at real happiness.  We have to get good at learning new things.  At the very least well acquire the skills needed to start on the next new project.

There is nothing you can do now to change what has already happened.  If you spend time worrying bout it you’ll lose sight of the present and stumble into a cloudy future  You can’t go back and make a new start, but you can start right now and make a brand new ending.

The start of a new year is the perfect time to turn a new page, like a fresh start it is a great opportunity to eliminate bad habits and establish new goals. What we call the beginning is often the end and to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.

You know, I really need to not only entertain this possibility -- but believe it.
So convinced nothing on earth could beat the life I led in the 80's. Then again, I could be wrong. :)

I'm glad we get new starts every year (and every day if we so choose)! I'm glad God is merciful like that for us!

It is always too bad (and sad) when I here friends talking about 'Starting anew', NEXT year, or even next month. It is like quitting smoking next week. And in Key West I will never forget the permanently painted sign on the wall of a BAR, "FREE BEER TOMORROW".
