A smart person knows what to say. A wide person know whether to say it or not.
January 21st - be wise
Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.
Smart people tend to process information in a logical way whereas wise people process the emotional the spiritual, and the subtle side of logic as well. There is no doubt that a big part of wisdom comes with experience, but one of the most important formulas for gaining wisdom is to surround yourself with people much wiser than your self whom you trust to help you Another example might be that a smart person is aware of that tomato is a fruit, but a wise person know not to put one in a fruit salad.
A wise person knows that they’re not the smartest person out there, which makes them seek new information in order to learn and grow. We’ve all heard the saying, he’s too smart for his own good, but I’m not sure how oven you’ve heard, He’s too wise for his own good. There is a big difference between knowing things and know how to sue what you know. with so much pressure to show how intelligent we are, we’ve ignored the cultivation of wisdom.
The simple things are also the most extraordinary things and only the wise can see them
Wisdom is mentioned 219 times in the Bible versus the world smart. to isn’t used once. The word intelligence is used four times, and intelligence, five time. May be the Bible is hinting for us to change what to ask for in our prayers.
It would e ideal to be wise and smart by allowing our thinking to be challenged in order to get sharper. Then we can apply what we learn own order to turn our knowledge into wisdom. If we learn and apply that knowledge , even though making mistakes, we'’re working toward becomming wise.
Wisdom is more than knowing facts, it’s more than understanding concepts. It’s more than thinking logically. Young people whose education has centered on getting great grades often don’ know anything about handling the frustrations of life. They may have mastered information about life but that knowledge is insufficient to guide them in their journey forward. To flourish we need to develop wisdom The wisdom to manage feelings, the wisdom
to make good choices, The wisdom to embrace the unknown, the widom to doubt , to observe, and to understand.
The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.
