Chapter 11, Page 6, Book 19

It hurts to let go but sometimes it hurts more to hold on

November 6th - hanging on or letting go

Theres an important difference between giving up and letting to.

Jessica Hatchigan

I think that letting go hurts so much because we feel like we’ll forget the ones we love.  But let me tell you that it hurts so much more to hold on.

Never let go of the memories you shared.  Never let go of keepsakes.  But let go of your regret, your sadness and your rage.  Life is an endless cycle which flows, turns, and slips through our fingers despite how much we want to hold on to it.

Life is a difficult balance between holding on and letting go.  We aren’t taught this in school and it’s something we are not prepared for.  However, one of the many things we learn is that there are different types of loss in life.

We must learn to enjoy the here and now.  What was lost yesterday no longer exists .  Let it go, accept it.

We say hang in there and then say let it go, It’s a fine line. And sometimes it’s the people we hold on to are the reason we can let go.

Some of us think holding on makes us stronger, but sometimes it is letting go..

It is hard to let go of some things but necessary if we want to move forward indeed! And like you said, we can always keep the memories of the good with us of those we love who are no longer with us.

HAHA! We know what we should let go most of the time, but say, 'tomorrow.' I like the contradiction brought up in your post. I really like that presentation. Yes it is strange that we must hold on and let go too! I LIKE IT! Good stuff.
Love you girl,

Lessons from the dandelion! Lots to digest here … but it's all GOOD!
