Chapter 11, Page 4, Book 19

Gratitude is riches.
Complaint is poverty.

Doris Day.

November 4th - complain less, give thanks more

Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain - and most fools do.  But it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.

Dale Carnegie

Gratitude makes you happier healthier and more popular.  Complaining will quench a grateful heart and giving thanks will chase away that ugly spirit of complaining.  You cannot complain and give thanks at the same time.

Thanksgiving is powerful, it releases peace to our hearts.  It is a vital anti anxiety prescription.  When you are tempted to give into fearful, worrisome or anxious thoughts, pray with do so with thanksgiving.  The very act of thankfulness will build up our faith and drive back anxiety and fear because fear and gratitude can cohabitate simultaneously in our hearts.

If you dont like something change it. Doncomplain because you dont have.  Enjoy what youve got.

H. Stanley Judd

It seems we live in an age when complaining comes more naturally to people than expressing thanks.  We need to make it a choice of life every day and look for things and people for which we can give thanks .  Cutivating a grateful heart will help to cure the habit of complaining, protect you from discouragement , guard you heart from anxiety and enrich your life.

So don’t miss the chance to give thanks if you want a rich, enjoyable life.

If you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to o something about it.

Anthony J. D Angelo

I really do love the comment by Dale C. in the beginning. I think it may be normal to complain, but most folk grow out of it. I feel kinda sorry for the few folks I know who seem to live to complain. When someone has reached 50 years of age and still complain, I don't think they will ever change and know the joy of life.

So true that someone cannot complain and be thankful at the same time. Those are wise words, Ma!

For sure! Plus, who wants to be around a complainer? Not me!
