Chapter 11, Page 13, Book 19

Be selective in your battles, sometimes  peace is better than being right

Author Unknown

November 13th - not every argument is worth winning

Peace brings with it some many positive emotions that s worth aiming for in all circumstances.

Estella Eliot

I’d rather have peace than to fight a battle any day. I’m not one to fight it out to get my own way.  However I do know some who think it should be their way or nothing. This causes a lot of unrest and hurt. I’d rather bend a little and not be so firm in my thoughts that I can’t be flexible and forgiving.  My way is not the only way to do things, I can give a little and get more in return. I strive for peace not war.

Remember a simple smile costs nothing but how pleasant it feels and how it can lift our spirits and improve our moods.  The world would become a more peaceful and loving place if we took the time to smile more.

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

Mother Teresa

May peace be with you today and every day! :.)

You are so right if you jump at every little thing - peace will never happen.

I think that is great advice to not fight every battle; fight the ones that really matter and leave the others alone. I think one would be more peaceful if they did that!

Let there be peace on Earth … and let it begin with me.
You know, we sing that song at the conclusion of each Sunday service ….. but only in the last year am I learning to pause and ask myself, "Is the need to be 'right' worth it?"

Peace Oh yes peace in the soul makes life much better. Some battles must or should be ignored. I like the question, and should be asked many times in life and answered from the heart, "Is the need to be 'right' worth it?" We all wrestle with that...
