October 1st -  I love pumpkins

I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.

L.M. Montgomery

It’s pumpkin season and I love everything pumpkin.  Not only is pumpkin tasty, pumpkins are happy joy filled creatures bursting with smiles and joy.  It all starts with a trip to your local pumpkin patch

Bittersweet October.  The mellow, messy leaf kicking perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.

Carol Bishop Hipps.

While pumpkin pie is delicious, you may be surprised to know that pumpkin  is one of the most nutritious fruits around.  Its full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that make it a seasonal superfood with powerful health benefits.  Pumpkin’s beta carotene converts to vitamin A which can help to protect your vision and save your skin from sun damage.  ItVitamin C can boost your immunity while the magnesium in pumpkin seeds  helps to keep your heart healthy.

Its no wonder I love pumpkins

Every new season of your life will be an opportunity for you to learn and grow.  Doncelebrate the good without celebrating the bad because they both work together to prepare you for the next  season of your life.

Wise counsel from Ms. Lewis!
What's that saying, "Until God opens the next door, praise Him in the hallway." Have a great day!

I too like what Theresa Lewis said. I'm going to copy that out. We're going to carve pumpkins here later in the month toward Halloween. This year I think I'm going to roast the seeds and see how they turn out. When we had our dog, sometimes we would mix pumpkin into his food. It provided bulk he needed and didn't add a lot of extra calories. Happy October Ma!

Pumpkins talk this time of year!
Strange, around my house growing up I NEVER remember a pumpkin pie. But mama's Sweet potato pie sufficed. I do like pumpkin pie now thought, and this is the time of year!
