Chapter 8, Page 2, Book 19

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.

Helen Keller

August3rd - The more the merrier!

Many hands make light work.

John Heywood

The cliche, the more the merrier, means that the more people there are, the better or more enjoyable the situation will be.  I know for a fact that more helpers make a task easier and the work gets done faster.  It’s tempting to believe that we can live this life all on our own but the truth is there are times we all need each other for accountability, encouragement and help. We can’t do it on our own.

We thrive when we feel connected and supported by each other. It’s nice to have a certain amount of independence and to be able to things on our own, but that is not always possible.  I depend on the electric and power companies to supply heat and air conditioning,  I depend on the garbage men to take the trash away.  I depend on my family and friends when I need help.  I simply can’t do everything for myself.

We are people who need people.

We’re all in this together if we’re in it at all.

Johnny Cash

We may not have it all together, but together we have it all!

I do enjoy seeing your happy family. And yes they look like a sharing group. Someone expressed it, no man is an island. YES we do need someone! Everybody does... The load is lighter when shared.

It is good to do life with others, especially those we like to be around. But so true, so many around us provide services that we couldn't do or wouldn't want to do ourselves, like trash pick up, delivering mail and so much more.

I do my share of complaining as I have someone here ALL the time - but I sure would miss it.

I like Johnny’s take on the subject.
