Chapter 7, Page 25, Book 19

What makes you different or weird, that's your strength.

Meryl Streep

July 25th - we are all unique and special

As your days are, so shall your strength be.

Deuteronomy 33:25

First and foremost Id have to say that my strength comes from the Lord.  I have a very strong faith that has carried me through many tough times.  Anything I have or any good Ive done is due to Him.

We were all created unique and different and no two of us are alike. We are all gifted with different abilities.  What I can do is probably different than what you can do.  We have certain similarities, but still remain unique in how we do things.  But with many gifts coming together, we can make an unbeatable force. We shouldn’t waste our skills and talents and it’s important to persevere and keep going in our efforts.

I have had people say that I’m a strong woman and so I googled that description and this is what I found.

A Strong Woman Versus a Woman of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape, but a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn’t afraid of anything, but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear.

A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her…But a woman of strength gives the best of her to everyone.

A strong woman walks sure footedly, but a woman of strength knows that God will catch her when she falls.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey, but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey she will become strong.

You definitely are a woman of strength, Ma. I liked that description you posted. I'm going to steal it to share with others.

You know what Pam - this is post of yours - I REALLY loved it today - so many people have preconceived ideas of what is strong or weak - good or bad - pretty or ugly.

I think God gave us what he gave us and we have to accept it graciously.

I know when I walk - because I have a congenital hip issue - people look at me weird - I can't say it doesn't hurt - but I wispier to myself - God Loves Me just like I am.

What makes you different or weird, that's your strength. Just because I walk funny doesn't mean I am not strong.

May I borrow some of yours words - but give you the credit - on my blog sometime?

LOVE this "versus", Pam! It's a keeper for sure!
Like "Chatty" just said, I suspect some ladies' definition of what it means to be strong are sadly mistaken. I enjoy having the ability (most of the time) to be strong, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy being treated like a lady.
