Wednesdays are like Mondays in the middle of the week.

July 24th - thoughts on a Wednesday morning
Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.
Alexander Graham Bell
July came and along with it some challenging days. The heat and humidity left me feeling quite depleted. Trying to keep cool and continue daily activities were a test of my abilities.
Don’t get me wrong I love summer, but the older I get any extreme weather, hot or cold, really makes a difference in what I’m able to do. They don’t call them the dog days of summer for nothing Thankfully we have a reprieve here this week with several days of milder weather and lower humidity too. What a difference it makes!
Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.
July is almost over and soon our hottest month of the year, August, will begin. But even though I’ve air conditioning and fans to keep cool, I really love being outside. Every day, no matter what, is a new adventure and I look forward to each one. Inside or out there is always plenty to do.
For the first time in many weeks we will be seeing more sunshine than clouds. Our farmers fields are full of crops ripening in the sun. And it’s wonderful that we get to enjoy the fruits of their labors.
In my efforts to thrive, not just survive, I hope to keep on making the most of what I have. It’s good remember that concentrating on the tasks at hand will save us a lot of headaches later on. Opportunities are always about here and now, and when we learn to see them, we realize the magnificent potential of each day.
People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing That’s why we recommend it daily.
