Chapter 6, Page 8, Book 19

Money has never made man happy, nor will it; there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness.  The more of it one has the more one wants.

Benjamin Franklin
June 8th - happiness is an inside job

Money is not required to buy one necessity of the soul.

Henry David Thoreau

Money is simply a method of exchange, no more and no less.  It is used to pay for a product or service, it's convenience, comfort and luxury, none of which typify what we truly need.

Money can buy medicine, but it can’t buy health.
Money can buy a bigger house, but it can’t buy a home.
Money can buy companionship, but not love
Money can buy someone’s services, but not their loyalty
Money can buy the appearance of a happy life but it can’t buy true happiness.

It’s good to remember that in our efforts to make money, we don’t lose sight of the precious things money can’t buy.

Money can't buy life.

Bob Marley

I remember my hero, John Wayne saying, "I will beat this!" speaking of cancer. But as you said, money cannot buy health!

"It takes a heap 'o livin' in a house to make a home!"

Great wisdom you shared Ma about money. So true that it can't buy a lot of things that we would really want it to be able to do so like health, etc. Good to have just the right amount of money to take care of needs and a few wants.

My mother once supposed, there are a lot of unhappy millionaires. I didn't understand it then; but now. I feel rich in those things money can't buy.
