Chapter 3, Page 31, Book 19

The motto of those who know the joy of working -- who bring joy to their work, their lives and into the lives of others, who use their time and talents to the fullest — is T.G.I.T., or Thank God It's Today.  They know that happiness takes place in the present; it can’t be reserved for another — a better time.

Dennis Waitley

March 31st - Joy is a decision

Joy is not in things; it in us.

Richard Wagner

Joy should not be based on your circumstances, but by having the right mind set. Joy depends on your decision to enjoy life, to be happy with who you are and where you are.

We don’t have a choice when it comes to our circumstances, but we do have a responsibility to decide how we are going to react to them.

Every day may not be a good one, but there is something good to be found in every day when you take the time to look for it. When you focus on the good, you can’t help but be joyful.  Life is always brighter when we focus on what's important.

Joy does not simply happen to us.  We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day.

Henry Nouwen

I count my blessings every day and that simple practice, brings more and more joy in my life.  You can’t help but be happy when thinking about all the things you have to be thankful for.

You can choose to focus on the negative, but then you miss out on all the beauty and happiness to be found in each day. In the end what matters is that our lives were filled with JOY.

Let a joy keep you. Reach out your hands and take when it runs by.

Carl Sandburg

Joy definitely is a mind set, but a good one to have to live a good life. We can choose joy even in the midst of the toughest of times.

I'd no idea T-G-I-T was a thing … I thought you'd just made that up!
Yesterday our temps were hovering around 80* -- then this morning on the way to church my car 'said' it was 45* outside. Coming home and having one more chance to put on my flannel leggings and oversize fleece hoodie … well, it was like Christmas and New Years and 4th of July. JOY, indeed!

"Joy does not simply happen to us. We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day." this sums up how i feel today.
