If spring came but once a century instead of once a year, or burst forth with the sound of an earthquake and not in silence, what wonder and expectation there would be in all hearts to behold the miraculous change.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
March 13 - miracles happen
Every spring is the only spring, a perpetual astonishment.
Spring is a miracle happening right before our eyes. Even when the ground is covered with snow, new life is beginning deep down in the earth. To see a tulip or a daffodil push up through the earth when days start growing longer is a miracle in itself.
Miracles are all around us every day, but I think more so in spring. Miracles still happen we just have to open our eyes to see them. I’m always amazed when I see leaves emerging from their winter hibernation.
If you are a nature lover, it’s hard to beat spring. It’s fun to see new little critters that arrive this time of year. From tadpoles to bunnies and butterflies, new life is a miracle, a time of awe and wonder.
When I think about leaving a cold winter behind and going into a warm spring, my whole being seems to come alive too. That is the miracle of spring.
Spring is when life’s alive in everything.
