Chapter 3, Page 10, Book 19

Some people are making such thorough preparation for rainy days that they aren’t enjoying today’s sunshine.

William Feather

March 10 - enjoy today

Happiness, not in another place but this place…not for another hour, but this hour.

Walt Whitman

Each day is a new life, another chance to get it right. It's a gift, not a guarantee. Although I’m joyfully anticipating Spring days, I can not let those thoughts rob me from the beauty of what today will bring. I love warmth and sunshine, but if turns out cold and dreary, I’ll make my own sunshine the best way I can.

So many people have the mindset that they will be really happy and enjoy life when…when they go on vacation, when the kids get over when they get higher on the ladder of success at work, when they get married…the list could go on and on. They loose the opportunities of what could have been

So don’t wait, enjoy today for what it is. Life is incredibly short, now is the time to enjoy it, not later.

Although time seems to fly by, it never travels faster than on day at a time.  Each day is a new opportunity to live your life to the fullest.

Remember: Every day might not be a good one, but there is always something good to be found in every day when you take the time to look for it...

I do tell young parents not to rush their kids growing up, saying things like I can't wait until they walk, etc. It does go by so fast as you know. Good to take each day as itself and enjoy the aspects you can with that particular day.

I am reminded of the sad song about a dad telling his son, "We will have a fine time later after I finish this! And he never got around to it. That is not the words but the essence of the song. Yes Now is the time, you are right.
Beautiful day down here,
Sherry & jack

we hope spring is springing there! (well at least soon it will be!)

On one hand I regret not having made better financial decisions when I was young. But no; I'm my father's daughter. His wasn't a terribly long life, but he LIVED it so richly. Even his generosity, saying, "I'd rather give it to you with warm hands than cold."
