Chapter 2, Page 5, Book 19

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who greive, too short for those who rejoice, but for those love, time is eternity.

Henry Van Dyke

February 5th - there is always time for love

If I live in a house of spotless beauty with everything in it’s place, but have not love, I am a housekeeper - not a homemaker

If I have time for waxing and polishing and decorative achievements, but have not love, my children learn cleanliness - not godliness.

Love leaves the dust in search of a child’s lave.

Love smiles at the tiny fingerprints on newly cleaned windows.

Love wipes away the tears before it wipes up the spilled milk.

Love picks up the child before it picks up the toys.

Love is present through the trials

Love reprimands, reproves and is responsive.

Love is the key that opens salvations message to a child’s heart.

Love crawls with the baby, walks with the toddler, runs with the child, then stands aside to let the youth walk into adulthood.

Before I became a mother I took glory in my house of perfection.
Now I glory in God’s perfection of my child.  As a mother there is
much I must teach my child, but the greatest of all is love

Yes, love lasts forever, it goes on through all eternity.  There is always time for love and time should not be wasted.  Make the best use of it that you can.

Love begins in a moment, grows over time and lasts forever.

Forever is composed of nows.

Emily Dickinson

The first thing I saw this morning when I logged into blogger is that there are changes coming our way. I don't know what they all mean, but I hope to keep on blogging as long as I can. There will also be changes to comments, and I've already notice a few, hopefully they will make it better. We'll see...

I'll have to check out the changes. I didn't see anything, will have to go back and look. Love truly is the best gift we can give to our children and the best lesson to teach them, often through modeling our love to them!

I've no more tiny fingerprints on my windows ... rather, my dogs' nose art. And yes, I love it.
"... stands aside to let the youth walk into adulthood." Now THAT one clenched at my heartstrings.
