Chapter 1, Page 8, Book 19

Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there is so much to smile about.

Marilyn Monroe

January 8th -  Keep smiling

A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside.

Denis Waitley

Even when life gets you down, there is always a reason to keep smiling. Not every day is perfect but an attitude of thankfulness can easily rid any feelings of negativity that bring you down. An attitude of gratitude will always give you a reason to smile.

A smile goes a long way, but you must first start it on its journey.

Helen Keller

Whether or not we realize it, we have the capability of changing our view of a negative situation with just a simple smile on your face. One of the best ways to overcome the issues in our lives is to keep smiling.  When we lose our smile, everything looks bleak.

A smile says a thousand things all at once.  A smile says I am open to talk, to listen and to greet warmly.

Don’t cry because it’s over.  Smile because it happened.

Dr. Seuss

It doesn’t matter what adversities we need to face.  We only have one life, and we better make the most of it.  Don’t look for reasons outside yourself to smile, but inside. If you don’t find a any, create them.

Wear a smile and have friends; wear a scowl and have wrinkles.

George Eliot

That kids song is now rolling in my mind, "Smile awhile and give your face a rest!" Eliot's quote says bunches for folks getting older. hahah

So many positives occur indeed with just a simple smile. The universal action that everyone understands as being a good thing when one smiles at another!

Love your first slide, Pam! I didn't know this until I started my last job at the resort … but the pineapple is supposed to be a sign of hospitality. Now I'm imagining a big ole' Hawaiian dude smiling ear to ear and welcoming his guests with a pineapple.

PS - That Dr. Seuss quote is such a comfort.
